Meet Joshua and his mum and dad.  I have been friend's with Joshua's Nana (she's a young Nana!!) for many years, so I have known Joshua's dad since he was a teenager!  Over the years, I have been following along with Davey and Katrina's lives through Davey's mum and wild horses could NOT have dragged me away from this shoot!  Beautiful little Joshua has a big sister, Michelle, who is no longer earthside but who is, I have no doubt, watching over her little brother with a heart full of love.  Her presence is felt everywhere in the house through the gorgeous symbol of the turtle, and of course, through photographs.

There is nothing quite as special as being around parents who show such love for each other and their children.  I certainly left the shoot with a full heart.  Joshua is just the sweetest little bubba...

Now, I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before but I absolutely, with all my heart, love photographing families (yes, yes, you may have heard me say something along those lines once or twice before!).  This Sunshine Coast family session was no exception... they were SUCH a joy to be around.  Bubba was a bit poorly and fell asleep while we were shooting. We just went with it and the photos of her sleeping in her parents arms are some of my favourites.  Enjoy this beautiful session, it's one that I'll never forget...

This adorable little man completely stole my heart! You'll understand once you've seen the photos.  This session was full of kisses and cuddles and one very content, happy little cutie...

I just love my beach sessions and this is one of my favourites!  Meet my 'little' cousin Nick and his family.  After living in North Queensland, away from family for nearly 20 years, it was so lovely to be able to do this shoot and have the chance to get to know them a bit better. I grew up with my cousins and while we don't see each other that often these days, we all have a special bond which was definitely fostered by our Grandparents.  Christmas mornings at Nan and Grandads, with 13 Grandkids was always the BEST!  On top of that, my Grandparents had a holiday house in Caloundra where we could all gather and spend time together.  Some of my happiest memories!  And now, most of us have families of our own, and our kids are getting to know each other.  The bond that our Grandparents created continues with the next generation!

Oh, and I should probably mention that Aleesha is the most beautiful human (it's not all about my side of the family)!  Family really is everything and the love that Nick and Aleesha have for their kids and each other shines through in these images.  Enjoy!

Have I ever mentioned that I love Golden Hour?  That hour before and just after sunset when the light is at it's most spectacular?  Well, I do (and I'm thinking you may have guessed anyway).  It allows me to get so much variety out of a session, beautiful dreamy light, full sun soaking into your skin light and devine pink sky light.  This session was all about the dreamy light...
